Mother Like Daughter

"I'm mad about Boxes, boxes are fun, no one will guess who we are when we're done!"

This is a quote from my favorite book from when I was little, Jillian Jiggs. My mom used to say I was like Jillian because I could turn anything into a toy. I especially loved boxes. It looks like Rylee is the same. She found these flatted boxes and decided to try them on.

A call to be Joyful

Dec 25th 2003 (90th Birthday)
This is a video of my Great Grandmother known as Daisy- Ma. She recently passed away.
She was 92 years old and an amazing woman. Her life was charaterized by Joy. At her funeral person after person told of how she was always happy and whenever they left her they were encouraged. Daisy-ma didn't have an easy life, she wasn't wealthy but she was always joyful. You see she knew where real joy came from. She knew she was a sinner that was saved by grace. She had a savior and that was were her joy came from. No matter what happened in her life she still had a savior and that produced joy. I want to be more like her. The bible comands us to be joyful. It isn't suppose to be an option. How easily I complain about things or look at my circumstances instead of the big pictutre. That God sent his only son to die for my sins and because of that I am forgiven. My biggest need in life is for a savior. So no matter what I should have joy. I pray I would more like Daisy-ma, singing and dancing at the age of 90. Lifting the spirits of everyone around me. Laughing, Loving, and rejoicing in the Lord. At the close of her funeral they played a song and everyone clapped along. We know she is in heaven and we were rejoicing. We miss Daisy-ma a lot but I am sure she is singing, dancing and filled with joy more than ever.

Other Florida Pictures

This is Caleb, he is the son of one of Chad's friends from High school. He is 8 days younger than Rylee. He also has a sister that is 2 months older than Jacob. We have already arranged thier marriages. (notice his hand around her)
On the way down there at steak and shake.

We took a trip around the lake on the boat.

Surprise Grammy!

Chad's Mother turned 60 this year. We went to Florida to surprise her. Jim, Zac and Chad threw her a surprise party at Steak and Ale. When she walked into the back room everyone was there including her sister and brother-in law from Texas. It was a lot of fun. There were about 25 people there to wish her happy birthday. And as you can tell she was really surprised!

All of Jim and Connie's family. (on both sides)
